Weekly development report 2025/06/28


As usual, the best time to find problems is a day or a few after release. Only one found, but always something. ;) I will have to check certain things more carefully to make sure nothing else is hidden. Or at least not in this area. Latest find:

  • Fixed a possible crash when showing a list of available recruits in a base.

The development version of the game is still going its way. The main work is still ongoing on the new UI. However, I also started working on further changes to the game mechanics.

  • Work on in-game windows has been completed for now. This week I managed to remove some problems related to them. And there was a return to the previous task, i.e., creating a UI for hiring recruits in bases. Work on this screen also sparked changes to new UI themes for the game. Fortunately, everything is slowly moving forward.
  • As usual, the library used in the new UI is being developed at the same time.
  • Also in the development version, a possible crash is fixed when the list of available recruits in a base is shown.
  • As I mentioned above, I started working on another change in the game mechanics. Currently, the system of generating cargo in bases is quite simple and usually ends with all bases of the same type having the same things to offer. I would like to change this to make the difference between the bases bigger, so I started reworking this generation. For now, everything is in a very early stage of creation, and, as usual, it will require some testing.
  • And as always, the old code got some fixes and improvements.
