Dad jokes tactics seem to be working. ;) Another successful week in the stable version of the game. A few new things have been fixed, and there is quite a chance that nothing new has been added. News:
- Undocking or escaping from a base now properly shows the map.
- The player's ship's crew member should now stop escaping from the boarding party during combat.
- Orders for the player's ship shouldn't be visible during combat.
Since the list of fixed items is quite large, it's time for another almost stable release of the game. About 24 hours after this entry, it will be available for download.
The development version of the game is slowly moving forward. Work on the new UI continues, and I started preparing for another change in the game mechanics. Generally, from the player's point of view, it was a very boring week:
- In the new UI, work on a new version of the in-game dialog boxes has been almost completed for now. ;) This works better than before and also allows me to add some missing features to them. All that remains are technical matters to be done, such as minor corrections to the code or documentation.
- Standard, I am working on the library used in the new UI at the same time.
- Bugs found in the stable game version have also been fixed in the development version. New bugs have probably been added too. :)
- And the old code has been sorted out a bit. Very small bit. :)
