Weekly development report 2025/05/10


Another interesting week in the stable version of the game. Again, a few bugs have been fixed, and there is a chance that no new ones have been added. ;) Something probably is still waiting to be found. For now, however, it's time for a new, more stable release of the game. Things fixed this week:

  • Enemies using two-handed weapons will no longer use shields. No extra hands for it. :)
  • Closing the action menu using the Escape key when purchasing recipes in databases.
  • Closing the dialog with mission information using the Escape key.
  • Tab traverse in the accepting mission dialog in databases.
  • Tab traverse in the dialog with information about the selected crew member.
  • The game will no longer crash when you use the Tab key in the selected crew member's priority list.
  • The dialog with information about the selected database should now look better when the player is unknown in a given database.

And as mentioned above, it's time for a new, more stable release. It will be available for download in approximately 24 hours. And hopefully, again, here will be a few quiet weeks. :)

The development version is constantly moving slowly forward. As usual, the main focus is on the new UI, so the list of changes is quite short this week. Mainly because many of them have been mentioned above. :)

  • In the new UI, I am still on the trade screen. At least most things are starting to work here. Many things were also done under the hood, invisible to players. However, there is still "something" left to do, but at least I know I'm going in the right direction. ;) As usual, at the same time, I am also working slowly on the library used in the new UI.
  • Errors found in the stable version were also here. They should also be fixed here.
  • The old code has received some improvements and has become slightly more readable.
