Weekly development report 2024/07/06


Back on track. Unfortunately, with some load. ;) A few days of peace, and then players started reporting issues with a new version. Of course, thank you very much for them. At least I have something to report in the stable version. :D More seriously, I'm slowly fixing them, especially the one with crash when comparing modules in shipyards requires large amount of work.

  • Fixed the game doesn't refresh information about the player's ship after trading in bases.
  • Fixed hiring recruits in bases, when there is only one recruit to hire.

And the development version is back on its normal track too. The week was a mix of adding new things to the game, and fixing issues which are found in the stable version:

  • Information about free cargo space in the player's ship should be better visible now and in style with other similar information.
  • The same work was done with information about free space in the player's ships' crew members' inventory information.
  • As mentioned above, the bugs from the stable version were fixed here too.
  • I started work on fixing the crash when comparing modules in shipyards. When the work will be finished, I will port the solution to the stable version. This will be a lot faster. ;)
  • As always, some part of the game's code were moved to its new Nim based home.
  • And some old code got cleanup, related to the task above.

FUCK YES, worth investing my time in this game cause i can see its potential to be fun(for me at least).
