Weekly development report 2024/07/20


The best moment to find issues in the stable version? Of course, 2 days after release. :P Fortunately, none of them crashing the game, so they can wait a bit before the next, more stable release. Maybe I will find something more. Here is the list of fixed bugs in the stable version in this week:

  • Resizing the information's sections in the combat screen should now work correctly.
  • Several typos in the enemy's ship's info are corrected.
  • Added the missing resizing button to the enemy's ship's status section in the combat screen.
  • The information about the amount of the player's money in shipyard now should be correct.

The development version of the game is going in its normal speed. The problems found in the stable version were fixed here too, plus the same tasks as in previous weeks continues:

  • This week, a visible change is a bit better looking the enemy's details' section in the combat screen. It got some more colors there.
  • As mentioned above, the same bugs from the stable version were fixed here too.
  • Again, some part of the game was rewritten in Nim. The whole recruitment UI is moved, same as buying recipes or repairing the ship. Now I started moving the shipyard's UI. That should take some time.
  • Old code got some cleanups related to the task above. Also, as usual. :)
