Weekly development report 2024/07/13


We have, again, something to report in the stable version. Many things, especially if compared to the standard silence. ;) Several issues were fixed this week:

  • Crash when comparing modules during installation in shipyards. As mentioned in the previous report, this required many changes in the code, that's why it took a bit longer than usual.
  • Crash when showing information about a base's recruit's skill.
  • Showing information about the player's ship's module's status (damaged, destroyed, etc.) in the remove tab in bases' shipyards.
  • Game not update information about the player's ship when entering a base's shipyard.
  • Tooltip for canceling an upgrade of the player's ship's module.
  • Clearing the list of accepted missions when quitting the game.

This means, it is time for the next, more stable version of the game. :) In around 24 hours since this post, it will be available for download. And then probably the cycle with fixing bugs here will start again.

In the development version, everything goes as usual. Again, some new, visible things arrived in the game, plus all the problems found in the stable version were fixed too:

  • The game's statistics' screen got some updates. It should look a bit better now and in the same style as the other screens in the game.
  • The same bugs, which were fixed in the stable version of the game, got some care in the development too.
  • The journey to move the game's code to its new home continues. Now almost all recruits related interface was moved to Nim.
  • And the old code got some cleanups as always.
